Yeah, it's a little awkward, but the fact that you can do that by HAND is just super cool. I'm stuck with 3D. I tried to animate a figure in PS... Major fail. :XD:

What program did you use to assemble this?
Scanner and lots o';patience? :D

Very nice, my dear. I like how you paid particular attention to the motion of the feet. I think my only qualm would be that her arms don't sway with the body, but I can only assume that may be part of her character.

Whoah...I'm impressed; this looks awesome, especially since it's all done by hand. I've never attempted an animation before, but this one has got me inspired!

I'm sure you could do it if you gave it enough practice! Honestly, I didn't realize Pencil was so different from 3D. I thought you still had to move the puppet around for each cell just like you draw a number of cells. Is that or isn't that right? I think I have my information messed up.

Thank ya, Iggy. You are right, in that it's a part of her character, but I'm not happy with it either. Instead of bouncing or swaying up and down with her steps, her arms jerk up like she's catching her balance, or something. Better luck next time, eh?

No, what you're thinking of is more like stop motion. In 3D programs there is a time line on which keys are set. These keys signify a change in something, like say the position of a foot. All the animator does is set keys at certain points along the time scale, and the computer will animate the movements in between the poses. It really isn't that hard compared to drawing every single cell by hand. ;)
